1. The Saints stay tricky

Despite all the negativity around Week 1, the Saints offense was awesome. Brees connected with his receivers even though the run game wasn’t as solid. Most notably, the Saints pulled off an incredible trick play against the Buccaneers. Heading into next week, that kind of play-calling needs to reappear.

Last season, the Saints were sort of 50-50 with trick plays. Sometimes they worked, other times they didn’t. However, the trick play against the Bucs was incredible as it threw them off completely. Having Brees in there as a receiver and handing it off to Kamara was genius. The Saints need to stick with that same type of play-calling and throw some trick plays against the Browns.

As previously mentioned, the Browns defense is relatively young. They likely won’t see these plays coming. If they do, then the Saints will have to adapt. With the offense as their bright spot, there’s no telling what they can do. Last week was a perfect example of what they can do when they were under pressure.

Hopefully, they keep that same energy heading into this week. Trick plays really only come in times of necessity and they could be there again. There’s no way to tell especially with the Saints defense last week. Even so, the Saints need to be prepared for anything against the Browns.
