NFL Week 2, 2018: 5 Teams on upset alert
By Dan Parzych
Here are the five teams that should consider themselves on upset alert heading into Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season.
From the Pittsburgh Steelers tying the Cleveland Browns to the Chicago Bears nearly knocking off the Green Bay Packers before Aaron Rodgers pulled off an unbelievable return, Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season gave football fans plenty to discuss heading into the second week of action.
Even more exciting, teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers along with the New York Jets were able to pull off surprise wins to start off the year on a hot note, and when it comes to Week 2, there are another handful of candidates looking to avoid being on the wrong end of an upset.
Take the New Orleans Saints, who were actually the ones that were upset by the Buccaneers, for instance, as Sean Payton can’t afford to see his team start 2018 off with a 0-2 record, especially since both of those contests are taking place at home.
Normally, a team like the Browns that has gone 1-31-1 dating back to the 2016 season wouldn’t seem like that big of a concern, but if Hue Jackson’s team plays like they did last weekend when taking on the Steelers, the Saints could be in for quite the challenge.
Then again, knowing what’s at stake, would anyone really be all that surprised if Drew Brees and New Orleans came out firing against Cleveland? Only time will tell when it comes to seeing how this game plays out, but along with the Saints, here are some other teams that should be on upset alert as well heading into Week 2.
