3. Los Angeles Rams

Last season, the Los Angeles Rams emerged as one of the biggest surprises in the NFL after winning the NFC West during Sean McVay’s first season as head coach following years of disappointment under Jeff Fisher. Originally, the Rams seemed like they would be experiencing a year or two of rebuilding while adjusting to McVay’s system, but since that was obviously far from the case, expectations are higher than ever for this team.

Los Angeles may not have gotten off to the best of starts on Monday when taking on the Oakland Raiders, but thanks to some key adjustments made at halftime, they were able to escape with the 33-13 win on the road. Now, the question becomes whether the Rams can start Sunday’s game against the Cardinals on a hotter note to avoid any potential scare of losing their home opener.

Arizona will be desperate to rebound after last week’s outing at home against Washington, and even though Los Angeles seems to be a much tougher matchup, divisional rivals always bring the best out in one another. So if the Rams aren’t careful, the Cardinals could make them pay for it with what would be viewed as a major upset in Week 2.
