NFL Week 2, 2018: 5 Teams on upset alert
By Dan Parzych
1. New Orleans Saints
Around this time last year, the Saints were hitting the button after losing each of their first two games before going on to become one of the hottest teams in the NFL by putting together an impressive eight-game winning streak. Only time will tell when it comes to whether that will be the case once again for New Orleans in 2018, but at least from a talent perspective, there’s every reason to believe that will happen.
But first, the Saints are fully focused on their upcoming matchup against the Browns to avoid being the victims of a major upset for a second week in a row after falling to the Buccaneers during Week 1 in front of their own fans. Whatever the reason, New Orleans just couldn’t figure out a way to keep Tampa Bay in check on offense, and seeing them finish the game with 48 points was completely unexpected.
A few weeks ago, the thought of the Browns defeating the Saints on the road seemed laughable to even consider. As football fans know, this isn’t so crazy to consider after all when looking at how much fight Cleveland played with in Week 1 after nearly knocking off Pittsburgh, meaning New Orleans can’t afford to take a light approach in this one.
