After both teams gained wins to start the 2018 season, two division rivals will face off on Thursday Night Football in Week 2.
The night matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens is one all football fans should be looking forward to watching as they will play at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati this Thursday night.
Both the Bengals and Ravens are coming off wins in Week 1 where the Ravens dominated the Buffalo Bills, 47-3 and the Bengals defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 34-23. This game, however, features two quarterbacks in Andy Dalton of the Bengals and Joe Flacco of the Ravens in which their fan bases aren’t their biggest supporters because of their inconsistent play through a given season.
Flacco is coming off a game where he was 25-of-34 in the season opener for 236 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions. Also in the win against Buffalo, running back Kenneth Dixon rushed the football 13 times for 44 yards and one touchdown.
Baltimore’s leading receiver was Willie Snead with four receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown, and John Brown had three receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown.
As for the Bengals, Dalton was 21-of-28 for 243 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Joe Dixon led Cincinnati in rushing with 17 carries for 95 yards and one touchdown, and A.J. Green was Cincinnati’s top receiver in Week 1 with six receptions for 92 yards and one touchdown.
This is a huge game for both the Bengals and Ravens in AFC North play, especially with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns tying at 21-21 last Sunday in their season-opening game. As for this rivalry, the last meeting between the two teams saw the Bengals defeat the Ravens, 31-27.
The game will air on the NFL Network with a start time of 8:20 p.m. ET
