After losing their first game to the Denver Broncos, the Seattle Seahawks are traveling to Chicago to face the Bears in a Monday night showdown.

On Monday night one of two teams will fall to 0-2. Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson have to make sure that the Seattle Seahawks aren’t that team. It isn’t impossible to make the playoffs as an 0-2 team but things get a lot harder.

On top of that, the Seahawks have a tough schedule this year and they haven’t even faced any 2017 playoff teams yet.

After losing their Week 1 matchup, the Seahawks need more players to step up their games. With any luck, these five will deliver Monday night.

Tre Flowers

Flowers is playing a large role in the Seahawks secondary, taking snaps across from Shaquill Griffin at cornerback. While Griffin isn’t exactly Richard Sherman, he’s still better and more experienced than the rookie Flowers. That means Flowers is going to be picked on early and often by opposing offenses. The defense’s ability to stop offenses may very well rely on his ability to break up passes.

Flowers is only a rookie, just like Griffin was last season, which means he’ll be learning quickly over the next few weeks. It won’t be easy, but the Chicago Bears don’t have a deep receiving corps. That makes Week 2 a prime opportunity for him to show out and prove he can stay with NFL receivers.
