Chiefs vs. Steelers: Preview, odds, prediction, live stream for Week 2
By Randy Gurzi
Two playoff teams from a season ago clash as the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers meet on Sunday, Sep.16 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL Season
It’s already a pretty big game for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they go home to host the Kansas City Chiefs at Heinz Field. What makes this game feel bigger for them is the way things fell on opening weekend.
Playing on the road, the Steelers surrendered a 21-7 lead against the Cleveland Browns. The two went to overtime and the game ended in an unsatisfying tie. Pittsburgh players were frustrated and understandably so. Now they look to put a notch in the win column, but the team they face is no easy out.
The Chiefs put up 38 points against the Los Angeles Chargers in their first game. Second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes was great in this one and had four touchdown passes.
His connection with receiver Tyreek Hill is going to cause problems for a lot of teams. Hill was already explosive with the conservative Alex Smith throwing him the ball and it looks like his game is moving to the next level with Mahomes.
This one could have huge implications in the AFC playoff race as the year winds down. A head-to-head victory could be important for seeding, or a Wild Card Birth.
Here’s all you need to know in order to catch the game.

Prediction
Yes, the Steelers feel like they messed up in Week 1 and they did. That means they’ll be more focused and play cleaner in Week 2, but the Chiefs are just the better team right now. They win and celebrate a big victory against an AFC juggernaut.
Final Score: Chiefs 30, Steelers 27
