Both the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys look to shake off a 0-1 start on Sunday Night Football in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season.

Week 1 didn’t go as planned for the New York Giants. It also didn’t go the way the Dallas Cowboys hoped. Both teams dropped their openers, which was a tough blow after each had an offseason of hope.

For the Giants that hope was in the return to health of Odell Beckham Jr., the addition of rookie running back Saquon Barkley, and the removal of Ben McAdoo as head coach. However, in Pat Shurmur’s debut with the G-Men, they ran into a defensive powerhouse in the Jaguars and a 0-1 start was the result.

As for the Cowboys, their hope lied in them changing their philosophy to better suit their talent. Well, that and running back Ezekiel Elliott no longer having a six-game suspension looming over his head.

They released Dez Bryant in the offseason in an effort to bring in receivers that fit what quarterback Dak Prescott does better and they even added another talented offensive lineman in the draft by selecting Connor Williams in Round 2.

After one week, it looked like the same team that was stagnant offensively a season ago. Can they get it rolling against a divisional rival? Can the Giants find a way to break out on offense?

Here’s all the info you need to catch the game and get answers to those questions.

Prediction

Neither team was overly impressive last week and they probably won’t be in this game. Dallas, however, has a way of putting a good game out there whenever they look to be on the brink of implosion. And that’s how they looked in Week 1. They’ll toy with their fans emotions by getting a win before going out in Week 3 and looking completely lost and disorganized.

Final Score: New York 16, Dallas 23
