The Minnesota Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, in what looks to be one of the most enticing matchups of the young NFL season. Here are three key matchups to keep an eye on.

In the NFL, every play is crucial. As Green Bay Packers fans found out last week, just one play could change the season’s trajectory, all the while toying with the collective emotions of fanbases for better or worse. It remains to be seen whether Aaron Rodgers will suit up against the Minnesota Vikings, but all indications are he wouldn’t miss it for the world.

The Week 2 matchup should be one of the most exciting games of 2018. Each team enters the week having won their respective season opener and high expectations for the rest of the season. The Vikings are coming off an impressive 24-16 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, while Green Bay enjoyed a historic comeback win over the Chicago Bears by a score of 24-23.

Like any other NFL game, the keys to victory are winning individual matchups — as some say, the matchups within the matchup. Being a rivalry game, Sunday’s contest makes for an even more exciting watch, with numerous battles going on throughout.

So, without further adieu, here are three key matchups to watch. Whoever wins these individual battles could ultimately determine the outcome of this huge early-season contest.
