2019 NFL Mock Draft: Ed Oliver, Nick Bosa fight for top spot

9. Washington Redskins: Greedy Williams, LSU, CB
With the way this season is going, maybe the Washington Redskins should just sign Charles Woodson to bolster their secondary. They went a little old school in Week 1 by pounding the ball with 33-year old Adrian Peterson ‚ — and it worked.
After losing Derrius Guice for the season to a torn ACL, the Redskins felt like they could just use the next man up approach. Then Samaje Perine was banged up in the preseason and they decided to give the former NFL MVP a call. So far, it looks like the right move.
Here they decide to add some younger talent though with the selection of Andraez Williams out of LSU. “Greedy” Williams is a bit on the thin side still, but once he has the height at 6-2 to match up against any receiver in the NFL.
He’s a shadow on whoever he locks up against. His great route anticipation allows him to stick with wideouts, and — unlike some shutdown corners — he’s also got impressive hands. Williams picked off six passes as a redshirt freshman with LSU.
Should Washington put him on one side and have Josh Norman on the other, they could be a tough team to pass on. It also allows them to have a shutdown corner even after Norman (set to turn 31 in December) retires.
