11. Tennessee Titans: Drew Lock, Missouri, QB

If there were any out there who didn’t have concerns about Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, they probably do by now. Since being selected No. 2 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, Mariota has been rather up and down as a passer.

He could hit the field one week looking like an All-Pro and follow it up by completing eight passes for a 100 yards. He’s also struggled with ball security as evidenced by his performance in 2018 when he had 15 interceptions against just 13 touchdowns. Mariota also has 21 fumbles in his short career. Even so, his strong showing in their playoff win last season gave hope to many, but then that faded some as he struggled in a Week 1 loss.

Mariota was 9-of-16 for 103 yards with two interceptions in the loss to Miami. He also left the game with an injury — something else that’s been a huge issue for him in his career. With a new head coach this season, it may be time for them to also consider a new quarterback. And with how this mock draft worked, they have their choice of any signal-caller they want.

Their choice ends up being Drew Lock, out of Missouri. He’s starting to set himself apart from a crowded pack of quarterbacks. In two games he’s thrown for 687 yards with eight touchdowns and no turnovers. This comes after going for 44 touchdowns and just 13 picks a season ago.
