Oakland Raiders: 5 Bold predictions for Week 2 vs. Broncos
By Joel W. Cade
Jonathan Hankins gets the rush
The pass rush was pathetic. But instead of continuing to spout about long lost friends, the Raiders are making additions to address the situation. Also, the Raiders lost two key defensive tackles in the foray against the Rams. Luckily they brought in reinforcements.
Johnathan Hankins was recently signed by the team to help out at the defensive tackle position. Hankins is an excellent defender. He will need to be ready soon. The Broncos will most likely try to run the ball given last week’s performance. Hankins will be ready. He will come in and provide excellent defensive tackle play.
Chucky gets a win!
The Raiders are looking for Gruden’s first win upon his return. Unfortunately, they got handed an extremely difficult opening volley to start the season. First the Rams. Now the Broncos. But if they play their cards right, the Raiders could leave Denver with a big victory. Wouldn’t that be a great way to get the Gruden era going?
This game is a winnable game. The Raiders will need to play perfect to make it happen. But if the white tiger can take the top off, if Cooper and the receiving corps get open underneath, and if the defense can get a pass rush, the Raiders could squeak out a victory. That is a lot of “ifs”, but anything can happen on rivalry week.
