Patriots vs. Jaguars: Preview, odds, prediction, live stream for Week 2
By Randy Gurzi
The New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars meet in an AFC Championship Game rematch on Sunday, Sep. 16 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL Season
A 14-point fourth quarter ended what was nearly one of the biggest upsets of the past few years. The Jacksonville Jaguars were up 20-10 in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game, but then they fell victim to one of the many comeback wins orchestrated by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
The final score was 24-20 and the Jags cinderella season was over. They head into Week 2 with a 1-0 record looking to get some revenge on New England, who also enters the week with a 1-0 mark.
New England is trying to get things figured out on offense as they were down to just three healthy wide receivers this week. They picked up a couple free agents to help them get by, which could give the Jaguars a small boost heading into this one.
Jacksonville wins with their defense. There’s not much on that side of the ball in the way of weaknesses. They’re hard to move the ball on even when you’re at full strength. It’s an early clash of potential players in the AFC Playoff picture, making it a must watch.

Prediction
Jacksonville is stout on defense and New England is short on offense with Julian Edelman suspended. That means Jacksonville should be primed to attack a team that’s thin with receivers. Then again, it is tPatriotsios, so Brady will probably just throw 150-yards to a fourth-string running back.
There’s a good chance this isn’t the last meeting between these two teams as both look favored to win their division. As for this one, the game will mean more to the Jags and that could lead to them pressing and making a mental error late as the calm and collected Patriots get it done in another hard-fought game.
Final Score: New England 27, Jacksonville 21
