The Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills are hoping to bounce back from season-opening losses as they square off in Week 2 on Sunday.
Buffalo Bills fans should prepare themselves for Week 2 as the Josh Allen era is set to officially begin. The rookie quarterback will get his first start of his young career against the Los Angeles Chargers in the wake of the Nathan Peterman disaster (part 2). Now it’s Allen’s turn to see if he can right the ship — or even just get it in the water — for the Bills.
Things got off to about as bad of a start as you can imagine for Buffalo last week. With Peterman starting, they looked completely lost on offense with a porous offensive line, complete lack of weapons and bad quarterback play to exacerbate all that. To make matters worse, their defense, the relative strength of this Bills team, was lackluster as well, leading to a demoralizing 47-3 loss.
The Chargers, however, also lost last week, falling 38-28 to the rival Chiefs. Philip Rivers and the offense looked quite good at times, but LA also seemed to have the troubles they often do. They were clearly talented enough to win the game, but mistakes always seemed to pop up at the worst moments to bite them, be it interceptions, blown coverages or something else.
LA will be without Joey Bosa again for this game, which Allen is surely thanking the heavens for. However, the Chargers still have plenty of defensive talent that they’re surely going to deploy and give the rookie quarterback a tough first start of his career.

Prediction
Given how they’ve consistently come up short, it’s always tough to try and believe fully in the Chargers. That’s especially true when they’re having to travel to the complete opposite end of the country for an early kickoff. Having said that, the Bills are bad enough to make me believe. LA should win this one running away.
Final Score: Los Angeles 31, Buffalo 10
