Denver Broncos can keep rolling against the Oakland Raiders. Courtland Sutton, Bradley Chubb and Jake Butt are the 3 young players that will lead the charge.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a strong team win against the Seattle Seahawks to open their 2018. In Week 2, they face off against an Oakland Raiders organization that is on the rebound.

The Broncos have a hoard of players that are fresh blood within the organization. Head coach Vance Joseph, howeer, hopes to keep the momentum moving in the right direction by picking up a win in the AFC West.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the players to watch for the Broncos in this Week 2 matchup.

WR Courtland Sutton

Rookie wideout Courtland Sutton has loads of competition at the position. This 6-3, 218-pound athlete has the ability to fill a void left by an aging Demaryius Thomas. Both Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders had slow years last year. The Broncos offense was searching for an influx of youth, despite Thomas’ and Sanders’ monster games Week 1.

Sutton played a minor role last week, catching two of his five targets for 45 yards. Drafted No. 40 overall in 2018, offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave will take advantage of Sutton’s talent. The Broncos Week 2 gameplan should include him frequently.

TE Jake Butt

This second-year tight end is making a name for himself in 2018. He is technically in a time share with Jeff Heuerman after putting up 29 yards with two catches on four targets in Week 1. That doesn’t seem like a massive stat line, but he did this on just 36 snaps.

Case Keenum clearly has a connection with Butt. Keenum utilized his tight end frequently and often last year, playing for the Minnesota Vikings. He will look to the big Butt when feeling the pressure and in the red zone.

DE Bradley Chubb

The Broncos drafted Bradley Chubb fifth-overall this year. Already a starter, Chubb can contribute to strong Broncos front four. Working opposite Von Miller makes things easier for the rookie, evidenced by Chubb’s half-sack last week. Chubb should be able to cause more mayhem and help the Broncos to slow down Marshawn Lynch and the Raiders.
