Eagles vs. Buccaneers: Preview, odds, prediction, live stream for Week 2
Can the Philadelphia Eagles stop the magic of Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they square off in Week 2 on Sunday?
Considering how last season played out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles, you probably wouldn’t have expected Week 1 to transpire in the manner that it did. While both teams managed to win, the manner in which they did based off of their level of play a season ago was quite surprising for NFL fan.
The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles came out and looked pretty awful in Week 1. Though they got a win against the Falcons, the Nick Foles magic clearly wore off. If not for Fletcher Cox and the Philly defense (and maybe Atlanta offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian), the champs may not have walked away with a victory in that one.
As for the Buccaneers, they came out and lit the world on fire, despite starting Ryan Fitzpatrick in the place of the suspended Jameis Winston. The veteran came out and tore up the Saints defense and got his Tampa team into a shootout. The savvy Harvard graduate then didn’t back down and ultimately led the Bucs to a shocking Week 1 against their NFC South rivals.
Now these two teams will face off and, truly, it’s hard to know what to expect. With Foles still starting for the Eagles and Fitzpatrick for the Buccaneers, these are two of the highest variance teams in the NFL right now. Thus, we can expect anything and everything on Sunday.

Prediction
As much as I would like to say that the Buccaneers are going to ride the Fitzpatrick wave once again, I just can’t see it. Not only is the Eagles defense too talented and deep to believe that will happen, but Tampa is dealing with injuries throughout their defense. Thus, even Foles should be able to dial up some success and lead his team to victory in Week 2.
Final Score: Philadelphia 20, Tampa Bay 14
