5. Indianapolis Colts

One of the first things that would make a team look at someone like Gordon has to be their need at wide receiver. And hardly any teams have as dire a need for wide receivers as the Indianapolis Colts do.

Atop their depth chart now is T.Y. Hilton and Ryan Grant. Beyond that, there are no household names. Grant played well in the opener by pulling in eight receptions, but the 59 total yards showed he’s not getting downfield.

Hilton can get downfield, but he’s suffered from being the lone threat on this team. Defenses can focus all their energy on him and not worry too much about what others on the team will do.

The Colts also have the kind of quarterback who can get the ball to Gordon. Andrew Luck missed all of 2017 but is back and that gives them a shot in the AFC South even with them starting 0-1 after a loss to Cincinnati in Week 1.

Despite his missed time, Luck heaved it up 53 times in their first game. This team likes to throw, Luck is good at it, and Gordon could help. He’s not a long-term answer, but it could be a good move for some 2018 fireworks.
