The Minnesota Vikings comeback fell flat as they ended their game with the Packers in a tie. Here are three big takeaways from their Week 2 game.

It was a chance for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers to assert their will in the NFC North. Both entered this game 1-0 on the season and looking to go to 2-0 while knocking down their biggest competitor in the division.

Last season, the Vikings won the North with a record of 13-3 and swept the series with Green Bay. They didn’t beat the Packers at full strength though.

In their first game, linebacker Anthony Barr put a hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and it ended up ruining their season. A broken collarbone from the play sidelined the gun-slinger and Green Bay struggled the rest of the way.

Rodgers attempted to come back but was put back on the shelf when they were eliminated from the postseason. Minnesota won their second meeting late in the year with Brett Hundley under center.

This time, Rodgers was back, but he wasn’t at full strength due to a leg injury last week. Even with that going on, Minnesota couldn’t capitalize and ended up tying the game — sending both teams to a mark of 1-0-1. Here are three takeaways from the game for Minnesota.
