New York Giants (0-2) at Houston Texans (0-2)

Sunday, September 23, 1 PM ET

I keep waiting for the Houston Texans to play up to their potential. Their Week 2 matchup with the Tennessee Titans and Blaine Gabbert seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. Instead, they squandered it, losing to a busted quarterback and failing to show any real pizzazz.

Well, it’s now or never. Falling to 0-3 would be a bad way to go, especially with so much competition out there for those final few seeds in the AFC. A matchup with the New York Giants will either help Houston right the ship or send it sinking down to the bottom of the NFL barrel.

I’m guessing it’ll be the former on Sunday. Watson has yet to get it going, but faces off with a New York defense that is absolutely beatable. We all know about the plethora of talent the Texans boast on the defensive end as well, but have yet to see it flourish. Can they get after Eli Manning, slow Saquon Barkley and leave NRG Stadium with a win?

That’s what I’m predicting. It won’t be easy, but most wins in the NFL aren’t. Put pressure on Manning, force him to make mistakes, and hope that Watson can make the most of his chances. Otherwise, the Texans can start looking forward to vacation in early January.

Prediction: Texans win 30-20
