Indianapolis Colts (1-1) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-1)

Sunday, September 23, 1 PM ET

As of the publishing of this article, there was still no word on the whether or not Carson Wentz would be ready to go in Week 3. Regardless, it still seems the Philadelphia Eagles hold the edge as they prepare for a battle with the Colts.

Nick Foles has held his own through the Eagles’ first two games. Although it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows, he kept Philadelphia alive in Week 2. The lack of a run game and the defense’s inability to slow Ryan Fitzpatrick is really what did the Eagles in against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Still, I don’t see the Eagles having trouble taking care of the Colts.

Sure, Indianapolis is coming off a win against the Redskins. It wasn’t a dominant showing, but the Indianapolis defense managed to keep the solid-yet-unspectacular D.C. offense in check. Unfortunately for them, the amount of weapons Philadelphia brings to the table is far superior. More importantly, I see the Eagles defense stepping up after getting destroyed in Week 2.

Andrew Luck will keep the Colts hanging around. When the final whistle blows, though, Indianapolis will fall short of knocking off the defending champions.

Prediction: Eagles win 20-14
