22. Washington Redskins (24)

What on earth happened to the Redskins in their opener against the Colts? Just when Washington was receiving heavy praise for being a potential surprise contender in the NFC following an impressive victory in Week 1, this team took a major step back during their loss to Indianapolis on Sunday.

Nothing against the Colts in general since they deserve credit for pulling off this impressive win on the road, but this was a game the Redskins seemed like they were going to have little trouble coming up on the winning end of when comparing the two teams. Sure, Washington’s offense in general seemed like a work in progress since Alex Smith would be working with younger talent for the most part, but seeing them fail to score a single touchdown was quite surprise on Sunday.

Even more frustrating, Washington was in the perfect position to move to the top of the NFC East standings all alone with a 2-0 record since the Philadelphia Eagles suffered their first loss of 2018 as well. One loss certainly isn’t that big of a deal since it’s a long season, but the main concern here is the Redskins may not be the underrated contender football fans thought they were after Week 1.
