2018 NFL Power Rankings: Risk on Mahomes paying off for Chiefs

28. Cleveland Browns (29)
To get it out of the way, it seems like only a matter of time before Zane Gonzalez is looking for a new job as a result of his two missed field goals, and two extra points from Sunday’s game since this made a huge difference for the Cleveland Browns against the New Orleans Saints. Sadly, the Browns weren’t the only team dealing with frustration in the kicking department on Sunday, but when seeing how long it’s been since they won an actual game, their pain hurt the most.
All things considered, there’s no reason why Cleveland should have lost the way they did to New Orleans, and it’s even crazier to think how close this team was to starting 2-0, only to be sitting at 0-1-1 instead. The good news for the Browns is despite losing the way they did, this team is already showing some potential when it comes to putting together at least a few wins during the 2018 season.
Cleveland in general holding New Orleans to scoring just 21 points when looking at all of the key weapons Drew Brees has to work with says a lot about how far this team has come over the last two years. But until that first win since 2016 becomes official, the Browns are only going to continue kicking themselves wondering what could have been in these kinds of losses.
