After a tough loss in Green Bay in Week 1, the Chicago Bears took on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Here are three standouts from the game.
The Chicago Bears suffered as tough of a loss as a team can have. After roaring out to a 20-0 lead and knocking Aaron Rodgers out of the first half, he returned and performed his magic over the Bears and finished an incredible comeback to win, 24-23.
That was a loss that had the city talking about it and practically forgetting the Week 2 and home opener on Monday Night Football.
The players needed to forget about the loss and prepare for the Seattle Seahawks. It was a matchup between Khalil Mack, who had an all-time first half in Green Bay and the elusive quarterback Russell Wilson. It was also the return of wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
As in Week 1, the Bears roared out on the opening drive. Again, they scored a touchdown. Last season, they scored just one time on their opening drive. They’ve already done it twice in two games this season.
Also similar to last week’s game, after the Bears came out flying in the first two drives, opening up a 10-0 lead, they suddenly struggled afterward. They struggled to convert first downs and quarterback Mitch Trubisky threw two interceptions in the first half.
This is a very good offense, but they are still working out the kinks. They need to get some scores after the adrenaline from the start of the game wears off. Fortunately, they had an excellent drive at the end of the third quarter that went into the fourth quarter that ended with Anthony Miller‘s first NFL touchdown reception that many thought sealed the game.
