New York Jets: 3 Bold predictions for Week 3 vs. Browns
Coming off a sloppy loss to the Miami Dolphins, the New York Jets look to rebound against the Cleveland Browns, but what will they do?
Week 2 was a tough one to swallow. The New York Jets lost the game more than the Dolphins won the game. With the amount of times the Jets shot themselves in the foot, it’s surprising that there are not bone fragments on the field at MetLife Stadium.
The Browns enter this game winless in their last 19 games and 4-45-1 since the start of the 2015 season. So, this game may be a battle of “the Browns Being the Browns” and “the Same Old Jets.”
With such putrid play in the last three-plus seasons for the Browns, it may be tough to call any predictions that favors the Jets bold, but after the way they played against the Dolphins, anything can happen. Remember, the Browns forced five turnovers (+4 in the turnover battle) in Week 1 and still didn’t win.
Let’s take a deep look at this game and maybe come up with some bold predictions for the Jets.
3. The pass rush success continues
The Jets had four sacks against the Dolphins, despite the loss in Week 2. The pass rush came alive, and it showed its teeth, harassing Ryan Tannehill all game long. They’ll see more of that on Thursday Night Football.
Even though the Browns offensive line is better than what the Jets had to contend with against the Dolphins, Gang Green will find a way into the backfield and get Tyrod Taylor on the ground multiple times in this game.
