Patrick Mahomes and Ryan Fitzpatrick each are on their way to greatness as we sort out the Week 2 edition of our 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings

It was another fun week of quarterback play in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season. We all know how it goes in this league, if you have a quarterback, you have a chance to win. Now, this doesn’t mean you need an elite one, but just one who can competently move an offense down the field. And this past week, we saw plenty of that.

The game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs was one such example. Kansas City jumped out to a 21-point lead in the first, only to see Pittsburgh score 21 in the second. The two teams kept trading touchdown passes — six from Patrick Mahomes and three from Ben Roethlisberger. In the end, the Chiefs won 42-37 in a thriller.

We also saw Ryan Fitzpatrick continue his hot start. He threw four more touchdowns, moving his total to eight on the season and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Philadelphia Eagles to move to 2-0 on the season.

That story gets even more interesting if Fitzpatrick continues his stellar play into Week 3. He’s supposed to be filling in for Jameis Winston during a three-game suspension, but his numbers are impressive and it will be hard to justify benching him if he wins three games — considering they won that many in 13 starts with Winston last season.

With all the craziness of the week in the books, we again visit our 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings and see who is standing atop the mountain.
