The Seattle Seahawks are 0-2 after getting picked apart by the Chicago Bears. It wasn’t a pretty game for the Seahawks, but these players still stood out.

I’m going to be honest, it was hard to find three players to compliment in what was just a horrible and total loss to the Chicago Bears. The Seattle Seahawks fell to 0-2, losing to the Bears, 24-17, on Monday night.

After that horrible game it’s hard to imagine the Seahawks being able to put up a worse performance, but we’ll see if they can bounce back in the coming weeks.

Without further ado, here are the three players that stood out the most from the disheartening loss.

Tyler Lockett

With Doug Baldwin out, Lockett needed to step up and become the team’s best option at receiver. He delivered recording five receptions for 60 yards and an incredible touchdown catch. That touchdown catch was by far his best highlight of the night. Lockett led the Seahawks in receptions and receiving yards. He contributed more in the second half considering the first half of the game was a wash for the offense.

Baldwin likely won’t play in Week 3 and could be sidelined even longer than that with a grade 2 partially torn MCL. No definitive timetable has been set for his return yet, so Lockett will have to be the team’s top receiver for a little while longer.

Personally, I’d like to see even a little more production out of him then what we got on Monday. He is filling in for Baldwin, who has over 3,000 receiving yards in the last three seasons, after all.

So far, Lockett has yet to make any big plays on special teams this season. I’m sure he’ll be looking to change that when the Seahawks play their home opener against the Dallas Cowboys during Week 3.
