2. Nick Chubb scores first career touchdown…then another

One of the things that many Browns fans have lamented through the first two games has been the lack of success running the ball. While Carlos Hyde has two rushing scores, he’s averaging a mere 2.8 yards per carry to this point in the young season. However, the one back who has success when given (albeit limited) work is rookie Nick Chubb. Through two games, Chubb has five carries for 35 yards.

While I don’t think this Browns coaching staff is going to make Chubb the feature back over Hyde, I think the rookie is going to continue to make himself hard to ignore. And in that light, I think Chubb has the first inkling of a breakout performance as he finds the end zone for the first time in his career, and then follows that up with another trip across the goal-line.

1. Browns win by double-digits

Yes, the Cleveland Browns have not won a game since late December 2016. We know this, we have seen it play out in disparaging fashion again and again. As noted, we’ve even seen the heartbreak continue through the first two weeks of the 2018 season with a gut-wrenching tie and even more stomach-punching loss. On Thursday night, however, all of that is put behind this team.

Put simply, talent is going to win out for the Browns at some point. After picking so high in so many drafts and with the moves under John Dorsey’s watch, Cleveland has one of the more talented teams on the roster. While questions about the coaching staff remain, they are also present for the Jets coaching staff as well. And with that, I think it results in the Browns getting not just a win (finally), but an emphatic one as well.
