2. New England Patriots

Realistically, it’s tough to imagine the New England Patriots suffering another tough loss for a second week in a row after falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend. Since the offense is clearly in need of help at the wide receiver position, the Patriots decided to acquire Josh Gordon to see if Bill Belichick has what it takes to turn his career around, which most likely will be the case knowing his history working with previous troubled players.

As for New England’s Week 3 matchup, the team will see a familiar face in Matt Patricia after the former defensive coordinator took the head coaching job with the Detroit Lions this offseason, but unfortunately it hasn’t gotten off to the best start. Between all of the stories surrounding players being unhappy with his philosophy along with the Lions still in search of that first win, it’s been a rough two weeks for Patricia.

However, if Patricia’s first win as Detroit’s head coach were to end up coming against his former team, it would make all of the frustrations from the previous two weeks well worth it. Plus, with Patricia having one of the NFL’s most competitive quarterbacks to work with in Matthew Stafford, anything seems possible in this one.
