3. DeMarcus Lawrence and the defense get eight sacks

As we already mentioned the Seahawks “pass protection” has been shaky at best. This problem isn’t close to new as they’ve struggled to protect Wilson ever since he came into the league in 2012.

That’s almost as long as the Cowboys have been trying to rebuild their defensive line. Since cutting DeMarcus Ware following the 2013 season, they’ve been putting a lot of assets on that line. There are two second-round picks in DeMarcus Ware and Randy Gregory. There’s a first-round pick in Taco Charlton and two third-round selections in Maliek Collins and Tyrone Crawford — with Crawford being the only one there prior to the release of Ware.

More. What to expect from Brice Butler. light

So far this season, this unit has stepped up and played incredibly well. They’ve surrendered 29 points in the two games and 10 came in garbage time for the Giants.

The line has been a huge part of that and will be again this Sunday. We go really bold here and say they won’t just match the 4.5 sacks they averaged in their first two games. Nor will they match the six sacks Wilson has seen in Week 1 and 2. Instead, they will go for eight sacks of Wilson and move into first place in the NFL after three contests.
