After a disappointing tie, the Green Bay Packers head to the Nation’s Capital. Who are three players to watch for in the Packers week three matchup against the Washington Redskins?

Heading into Week 3 without a loss isn’t something all too familiar for the Green Bay Packers. Getting off to a fast start is not something the Packers do. However, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Technically, they haven’t lost a game, but last week’s game sure feels like a loss in the minds of coaches, players, fans, etc.

The Packers have a pretty easy stretch ahead of them before it gets rough after their bye week. After the Redskins, the Packers return home to face a struggling Buffalo Bills team, head to Detroit to face the 0-2 Lions and finish off the first half of the season against the upstart San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field.

The Packers could end the first half 5-0-1, their best start since the 2015 season. All in all, the tie won’t look so bad if the Packers can handle business for the next couple of games. However, in the NFL, you have to keep it week-by-week. You can’t get ahead of yourself because anything can happen on any given Sunday.

A date with the Redskins in Week 3 will be a confidence booster for sure. There is no reason to lose to them. The ‘Skins looked awful against an Indianapolis Colts team that is nowhere near a contender for the near future. You can’t look past this team though. Alex Smith is no slouch at quarterback. He has weapons in this offense, but it will certainly be a tough task against a much better Packers squad.

Anyways, here are three players to watch for as the Packers take on the Redskins on Sunday.
