It’s another tough loss for the New York Jets, and now they are the answer to a trivia question: Who ended the Cleveland Browns losing streak in 2018?

The Cleveland Browns entered Week 3 with just four wins in their last 50 games, and having not won a game in 635 days. However, their winless streak ended when the New York Jets rolled into town, and Baker Mayfield delivered in relief of an injured Tyrod Taylor.

Typically, when people stand out in a given game, it’s for good reasons. With that said, this was a tough pill to swallow for the Jets, and people stood out for the wrong reasons and the right reasons, and we will examine both sides of the coin in this one.

Let’s take a closer look at this game and see who stood out for the Jets.

3. Sam Darnold

In this game, Sam Darnold looked like what he is — a rookie. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft had happy feet. The ball sailed on him and he was dancing around the pocket for much of the night.

For the first time this year, including the preseason, he looked flustered. Darnold looked out of sorts, and he let the game get to his head. The final interception was a terrible decision — a throw into double coverage, and a lot of that had to do with the pass rush of the Browns.

It’s not time to switch quarterbacks, but it’s time for Darnold to find his place of peace and calm down when under pressure moving forward.
