The Dallas Cowboys modeled themselves after the Seattle Seahawks and they meet for a game on Sunday, Sept. 23 in Week 3 of the 2018 NFL season.

In recent seasons, the Dallas Cowboys have been trying to emulate the Seattle Seahawks defense. Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli has shown fil to his players of the Legion of Boom as a teaching tool. They upped the ante, even more, this offseason when they added former Seattle defensive coordinator Kris Richard as the defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator.

This isn’t the only way the Cowboys have emulated the Seahawks formula. During their back-to-back Super Bowl run, Seattle leaned heavily on their running game and Dallas does the same now — although, since their second Super Bowl, Seattle has been much more pass-centric.

There was even a time where Dallas was plucking Seattle running backs at an insane rate as they tried Christine Michael, Robert Turbin, and even go their current backup, Rod Smith, from the Seattle practice squad.

So far, it hasn’t equaled the same success, but Dallas is still trying. As for Seattle, they’re trying to find a way to be that model team again following a sluggish start to the season.

This Sunday the two meet in what’s always a tightly contested game. Here is all the information you need to catch the game.

Prediction

These teams always fight hard, but the Seahawks offensive line is a mess. Dallas is currently No. 2 in the NFL in sacks, so that’s not the team you want to see coming to town with that issue. Yes, Seattle is 0-2 and they play better at home, but Dallas has historically played better on the road. Look for them to get the slight upset as they send Seattle to a 0-3 start to the season.

Final Score: Dallas 23, Seattle 20
