It’s never too early to look ahead to the NFL Draft, so we’ll do just that heading into Week 3 with a new 2019 NFL Mock Draft.

Is the 2019 NFL Draft still a little more than seven months away? You bet it is. Thus, it might seem like going through and compiling a 2019 NFL Mock Draft is a bit of a futile exercise. After all, prospect evaluations are going to change, the draft order will too and so on. However, that’s not the case.

After two weeks of the 2018 NFL season, we can already see a great deal about the 32 NFL teams that will be making selections in the NFL Draft. We can see where they are set, where they are not and what areas they might need to start looking to the future for. Those things may have even been apparent coming into the season, but they are even more so now.

What’s more, we’ve got three full weeks of college football under our belts to this point, meaning that the preseason prospect rankings have been shuffled a bit and some newcomers have come into the fold. Similarly, we’ve seen some player that were highly regarded coming into the year not perform up to par (looking at you, Greg Little).

Thus, this is the perfect time for a 2019 NFL Mock Draft. However, what it is too early for is for trades. While I think that a lot of the teams picking near the top (or at the top) of the draft should ultimately look to trade down when April rolls around just because they are so depleted in terms of talent and could use more draft capital, we’re not going to get into that just yet.

With all of that being said, let’s get into the thick of it with my first 2019 NFL Mock Draft of the season.

Note: Draft order is based on our latest NFL Power Rankings.
