25. Carolina Panthers: Beau Benzschawel, OG, Wisconsin

Perhaps the most underrated and confusing storyline of the offseason was how blatantly the Carolina Panthers ignored their offensive line. They lost their best lineman from last year, Andrew Norwell, in free agency, and did nothing to alleviate that. Thus, they’re paying the price early with injuries and little depth. Beau Benzschawel will aid that cause as a big body that can start right away at guard with tremendous size and technique in the middle.

26. New England Patriots: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia

This feels like the most New England Patriots thing possible. They need to solidify the future at quarterback with Tom Brady getting further into his 40s. Thus, they take a highly experienced and older player in Will Grier. Grier has every tool in the toolbox that you want from a potential NFL quarterback, but the upside just might be limited due to his age. Even still, that seems like what Bill Belichick would want to mold behind Brady for at least another year or two before handing him the reins.

27. Green Bay Packers: Anthony Johnson, WR, Buffalo

Though the Packers used multiple mid-round picks in last year’s draft to address wide receiver, they still need more help at the position outside of Davante Adams. Geronimo Allison is fine, but Randall Cobb appears on the decline. Thus, they need to bring in a guy like Anthony Johnson. While playing at Buffalo limits his level of competition, he has been a monster in the MAC throughout his career and could thrive with Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball his way.

28. Atlanta Falcons: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College

Offensive guard was honestly a need for the Atlanta Falcons heading into last year’s draft, but they elected not to use a premium pick on him. With an injury to Andy LeVitre, however, they could see their lack of depth at the position and choose to address this in the 2019 NFL Draft. Chris Lindstrom isn’t a superstar, but he’s exceptionally solid at guard and is a plug-and-play type player on the interior of the offensive line.
