Bills vs. Vikings: Minnesota aims for easy win against struggling Buffalo
The Minnesota Vikings have been impressive with Kirk Cousins to this point and hope to be dominant as they face the struggling Buffalo Bills in Week 3.
Following the signing of Kirk Cousins this offseason, people started to truly hype up the Minnesota Vikings and their chances this season. After all, this was a team that made it to the NFC Championship Game last year and then upgraded at quarterback. The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, are another playoff team from 2017 that has now done the exact opposite of upgrading.
Through two weeks, the Bills might legitimately be the worst team in the NFL. Sure, they looked better last week with rookie quarterback Josh Allen starting, but there was nowhere to go but up. From an awful offensive line to completely lackluster weapons to a defense that has been exceptionally porous to this point, Buffalo truly looks like a team that might not make it into the win column this season.
As for the Vikings, they are 1-0-1 to start the 2018 season, following a tie against the Packers last week. Cousins has had moments of flashing brilliance to this point, but they are still not fully realized as an offense just yet. That will again be the case in Week 3 as running back Dalvin Cook will likely not be playing as he’s nursing an injury.
If we’re looking at this matchup, however, Minnesota really doesn’t need Cook to be able to handle Buffalo on Sunday.

Talk about a significant spread, the Vikings are favored by over two touchdowns in this matchup. That’s not surprising given what the Bills have looked like through the first two weeks, but it’s still jarring to see a spread of this magnitude.

Prediction
Even without Cook or Griffen for this matchup, it shouldn’t matter for the Vikings. They are still the better team in every facet of the game and the Bills still appear to be pretty hapless overall. I expect Minnesota to get out to a big early lead and then turn on cruise control from there on out.
Final Score: Buffalo 7, Minnesota 37
