NFL Week 3: Bills shockingly winners, Raiders still losers on Sunday
The Buffalo Bills looked competent, the Oakland Raiders choked again and San Francisco 49ers lost Jimmy G as we check NFL Week 3 winners and losers.
Just when we started to think that things were going to be easier to figure out after two weeks of the 2018 season, NFL Week 3 came along and showed us that’s not the case. This was one of those weeks in the league where everything that we thought we knew was ultimately turned upside down. These are pretty commonplace early in the season, but seeing them to the extreme that we did on Sunday was completely jarring.
One of the biggest reasons that we saw some madness in NFL Week 3 were the upsets throughout the league. Whether it was the Tennessee Titans topping the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Buffalo Bills stunning the Minnesota Vikings, or even the Washington Redskins coming up with a win over the Green Bay Packers, there were results throughout the league that virtually no one ever saw coming.
If that weren’t enough, we also saw some big changes in regards to individuals throughout the league. The Arizona Cardinals finally made the switch to Josh Rosen, albeit late in the game. Meanwhile, Carson Wentz made his return as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, but the San Francisco 49ers may have lost their’s, Jimmy Garoppolo, for the rest of the 2018 season due to a catastrophic injury.
Once again, NFL Week 3 was craziness from top-to-bottom. As a result of all of that, however, there were some teams and players that came out looking better and others that ended up on the opposite end of the spectrum. Here, we’ll take a look at the biggest winners and losers from Sunday.
