The Oakland Raiders under Jon Gruden have been highly disappointing thus far, but can they start to turn it around as they face the Miami Dolphins?

Any fans that came into the 2018 season with high hopes for the Oakland Raiders have seen them dashed to start the year. Jon Gruden’s new era with the Silver and Black has gone as poorly as possible, from an 0-2 record to no longer having Khalil Mack. Now we’re going to see the Miami Dolphins look to keep the Oakland woes coming in Week 3.

Derek Carr and the Raiders offense has honestly not been bad to start the 2018 campaign. They have moved the ball well at times and, on occasion, have actually looked better than they did at any point last year. The defense, on the other hand, has been atrocious. Without Mack in the fold, it’s abundantly clear that they don’t have a pass rush and not enough talent around them to make up for it.

As for the Dolphins, they’ve been one of the early surprises of the season. They have won both of their games to start the year with Ryan Tannehill playing well as Reshad Jones and the defense have played even better. Having said that, though Oakland might be winless, they also might be the best team that Miami has played to this point.

With all that in mind, we’ve got all of the info that you need to know for Sunday’s game.

Despite the fact that this is a matchup between a winless and an unbeaten team, the Dolphins are still only favored by three points in this one. Having said that, it’s clear that the oddsmakers expect this one to be a low-scoring affair.

Prediction

If this game were in Oakland, I might be more inclined to think that the Raiders would be able to beat a Dolphins team that hasn’t played anyone to get to their 2-0 record to this point. However, with this game in Miami, I think the home team needs the edge and comes away with a narrow victory on Sunday.

Final Score: Oakland 20, Miami 21
