Cleveland Browns (1-1-1) at Oakland Raiders (0-3)

Sunday, September 30, 4:05pm ET

What is going on here!? For the second week in a row, I’m picking the Cleveland Browns to win a football game. Prior to last week, I hadn’t picked the Browns to win since the end of the 2016 season. Luckily for me, they proved me right in putting my faith in them a week ago.

For my record’s sake, let’s hope they pull it off again. Especially with Baker Mayfield now at the helm, this Browns team can no longer be taken lightly. The offense has looked efficient, and the defense is among the best in the league at creating turnovers. It looks like all of those years of ineptitude have finally paid off for Cleveland.

Meanwhile, the Oakland Raiders have been a disaster through three weeks. Although they’ve put some solid play on tape, they’ve failed to close games and now sit at 0-3. It’s clear that coaching has been a problem, as I had previously predicted it would be following the hiring of Jon Gruden.

The Raiders should keep this one close through the first half, potentially even heading into the fourth quarter with a lead. As we’ve seen from them in every other game this season, though, they’ll choke it away as Mayfield and Co. officially start a winning streak.

Prediction: Browns win 26-24
