New Orleans Saints (2-1) at New York Giants (1-2)

Sunday, September 30, 4:25pm ET

For a minute there, I was worried that the New Orleans Saints would be headed for a disappointing season. They pulled it together after a Week 1 letdown, narrowly avoided a loss to the Browns, and now have two wins in a row after an overtime battle with their NFC South foes.

It’s been a bumpy road, but the Saints are still a team worth taking seriously. Anytime Drew Brees is under center, you have to respect the offense. That’s been the case in 2018, as Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara have reaped the rewards of playing for one of the greatest quarterbacks of the modern era.

Unfortunately, New Orleans’ problem has been their defense. Expect the New York Giants to exploit that on Sunday, using their own set of exciting young playmakers in Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley to put points on the board. Will it be enough to overcome the Saints in Week 4, though? I’m guessing the answer to that question is no.

The Giants will get their shots in, putting their fair share of points on the board as well. As they’ve done the last two weeks, though, the Saints will step up in crunch time to secure the win.

Prediction: Saints win 30-24
