2018 NFL Power Rankings: Packers, Patriots fall as Rams, Chiefs show dominance

17. Tennessee Titans (18)
The Tennessee Titans aren’t a great team. There’s no mistaking that when you watch them. Yes, they’re 2-1 after their win Sunday, but they don’t pass the eyeball test. While that isn’t ideal, they do play in the perfect division for a franchise that has incredible issues on the offensive side of the ball.
After losing to Miami in Week 1, the Titans have reeled off two wins in a row against their inept opponents in the AFC South. After beating the Houston Texans in Week 2 with Blaine Gabbert under center, they went to the former first-round pick of the Jaguars again against Jacksonville.
The reason Gabbert was in the game was that the elbow injury to Marcus Mariota isn’t fully healed. Even though he’s not 100 percent healthy, he had to come in and take over in this one as Gabbert was injured on a nasty looking hit.
Mariota got them the 9-6 win, but it was simply ugly. He was 12-of-18 for just 100 yards and when the sacks were factored in, the Titans had just 83 yards total through the air. It was just enough though, and they sit atop the AFC South now, thanks to their tiebreaker with Jacksonville after Sunday.
