2018 NFL Power Rankings: Packers, Patriots fall as Rams, Chiefs show dominance

31. Houston Texans (29)
The stats don’t look bad when you Deshaun Watson was 24-of-40 for 385 yards and two touchdowns, but that’s deceiving. Most of his damage was done when they were pretty much done as they put up 13 points in the fourth quarter of their latest loss to the New York Giants.
It was a battle of two teams that came in winless and it was the best shot to get a win for the Texans, who looked to be taking a step forward with Watson under center this season. He was explosive as a rookie, but a torn ACL took him out too early. Now healthy, he hasn’t been the same player he was a season ago.
The decision making hasn’t been ideal as Watson seems to struggle when his first read isn’t getting open. Turnovers have continued to be a problem and he’s now led the team to a 0-3 start to the 2018 season.
It’s not all on him though as the Texans have serious issues on the offensive line. They also don’t have the best running game and their defense is taking a step backward. It’s all adding up to what could be the last season in the Bill O’Brien era.
