Quarterbacks

Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns

2018 stat-line: 17/23, 201 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
ESPN ownership: 6.8 percent

Need some swagger injected into your lineup? Look no further than Baker Mayfield. The Heisman-winning quarterback patiently waited behind Tyrod Taylor for his chance, and after Taylor exited the game in the first half of Thursday Night Football, the Baker Mayfield show was on full display. Mayfield is a quarterback that takes chances and can make magic happen with his legs, adding that much more fantasy value to him.

With an offense headlined by Jarvis Landry, Mayfield has the tools and the upside to be one of the best finds on the waiver wire. Mayfield will likely see his fair share of bad days like any other rookie quarterback, but the quality of play shown early on by him only signals brighter days ahead for the Browns. Open those fridges and grab yourself an ice-cold W.

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens

2018 stat-line: 82/129, 889 yards, 6 TD, 2 INT
ESPN ownership: 8.2 percent

Flacco completes the ownership ring of AFC North quarterbacks, as Ben Roethlisberger and Andy Dalton were likely on teams before yours truly suggested adding Mayfield to your roster. Flacco surprisingly finds himself as fantasy football’s 11th ranked quarterback, looking like a borderline starter from week to week.

Flacco, to this point, has put up better numbers than the likes of Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Matthew Stafford. Week 4 positions Flacco in a duel with Pittsburgh, whose defense has become extremely friendly towards opposing quarterbacks. If you’re having quarterback troubles, feel confident in plugging and playing Flacco in Week 4.
