1. Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell have big games

So far, the Jets duo of Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell have had good season, and each has had good games. That said, they have yet to both have big games at the same time. That’s going to change here.

The Jaguars have allowed 115.3 yards per game on the ground and 4.2 yards per carry. Both of those stats are at the bottom of the NFL. According to Football Outsiders, the Jets are fourth in the NFL in open field yardage (yards gained on runs of 10 or more yards/total carries), and according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Powell (first) and Crowell (18th) were among the best at breaking runs of 15 yards or more (minimum of 165 carries).

Both Crowell and Powell are averaging over four yards per carry in 2018, and the Jets as a team racked up 256 yards on eight yards per carry against this defense last season. So, this game sets up for both of them to break out together.

With a better offensive line in front of them, and basically the same defense opposing them as last season, we should expect this. Powell and Elijah McGuire each score a touchdown, and that will happen again in this one.
