Here are the five head coaches that should consider themselves on the hot seat for NFL Week 4 of the 2018 season.
It’s crazy to think how the end of September is here since it seems like only yesterday the 2018 season started, although football fans certainly aren’t complaining when looking at how exciting some of the games have been so far.
And even though it seemed questionable to consider some head coaches on the hot seat over the last few weeks since it was still early, it’s tough for them to come up with an excuse heading into NFL Week 4, especially when looking at the ones with teams that have yet to win their first game.
Losing Deshaun Watson and J.J. Watt to season-ending injuries last year was a crushing blow since the Houston Texans seemed capable of competing with some of the best in the AFC, but what is Bill O’Brien’s excuse this time?
Sure, the argument can be made that Houston deserves some benefit of the doubt since Watson and Watt are easing their way back into playing again since it’s never easy to return from serious injuries, but the Texans are digging themselves a deep hole in the division.
Based on how the AFC South is already looking, there’s a good chance this division could see a few teams in contention for a playoff spot towards the end of the year, meaning Houston better turn things around before it’s too late. The only way O’Brien’s seat is going to begin cooling down is if the Texans finally put together some wins, and along with the Texans head coach, here are a few others that unfortunately find themselves on the hot seat for Week 4, beginning with Steve Wilks.
