Matchups, matchups, matchups. It’s all about the matchups, and this it the perfect matchup for Austin Hooper to do some damage. At the low cost of $5,000, why would you leave the Falcons’ underrated tight end out of your lineup?

So what’s so special about Hooper and his date with the Cincinnati defense? Well for starters, the third-year tight end has been a productive piece of one of the NFL’s top passing attacks in 2018. Although not nearly as enticing of an option as Julio Jones or Calvin Ridley, Hooper seems to be a favorite target of Matt Ryan down in the red zone.

To top it off, the Bengals have been terrible at slowing opposing tight ends this season. That could open the door for a monster performance from Hooper. At the worst, he should at least catch a few passes with a high probability of one of them coming in the end zone.

The Falcons have been involved in a couple of shootouts already this season. Expect this to be a similar situation, with Ryan spreading the ball around to all of his receivers. Look for Hooper to get involved early and often, rewarding fantasy owners in the process.
