The Dallas Cowboys try and get back to .500 on Sunday with a game against the Detroit Lions. Here are three bold predictions for that game.

The start to the 2018 NFL season hasn’t been pretty for the Dallas Cowboys. Offensively, they’ve been thoroughly inept and it’s become hard to watch. They have yet to see quarterback Dak Prescott hit 200-yards passing and the offensive line hasn’t been as dominant with Travis Frederick out to start the season.

Everyone knew the offense could be an issue as they did little to fix what was already a sore spot in the offseason. They lost Dez Bryant, who was released, and Jason Witten, who retired.

The biggest fans of both players have to admit that they each had lost a step, but that doesn’t mean Dallas did a good job replacing either. Their only notable additions were Tavon Austin and Allen Hurns. Both are fine players, but neither are going to keep defensive coordinators up all night.

Hurns is also already getting upset about the offense, and when a guy who spent his career with Blake Bortles isn’t happy with the passing game, you have a huge problem.

What’s odd though is that while all this has been going on, team owner Jerry Jones somehow sees similarities between the Cowboys and the high-scoring Los Angeles Rams offense. They better hope he’s right and that some of that shows up on Sunday, or they could be looking at a 1-3 start with fans losing their minds.

While we won’t predict the outcome, we can make three bold predictions for the Cowboys in this Week 4 matchup.
