The Detroit Lions look to build off their first win whereas the Dallas Cowboys look for an identity as they meet Sunday, Sep. 30th in Week 4 of the 2018 NFL Season

Back at home, the Dallas Cowboys look to forget another rough road outing as they host the Detroit Lions, who are fresh off a big win against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

After a tough road loss at Carolina to open the season, the Cowboys spent a week telling the world they know who they are and what they want to do. Then they came out on Sunday Night Football in Week 2 and proved that to be true with a convincing win against the New York Giants.

That was followed by another poor outing against Seattle on the road. They looked lost offensively and had some breakdowns on defense to leave receivers wide open. In-game adjustments were non-existent, which seems to be the calling card of the Jason Garrett era in Dallas — they have a plan they come in with and will shove that square peg into a round hole all day no matter what.

As for the Lions, they were embarrassed on a Monday night game to open the season as rookie Sam Darnold torched them for the world to see. Then they lost by a field goal to the 49ers and we started hearing about disharmony in the locker room over new head coach Matt Patricia.

That seemed to go away as soon as they handled the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. So now, they take their act on the road and look to keep rolling against a team that is shooting from the hip and changing their plan week by week.

Here’s all the info you will need to tune in and see which team shows up for either franchise as they both look to get to 2-2.

Dallas looks to be favored in this one, but not by much. Surely, this is attributed to them being at home — but that’s odd because this team isn’t known for having a home field advantage.

They’re both 1-2 and need this win to avoid a potential disaster in the standings. Detroit looked like a team that knows what they want to do and they have a lot of weapons on offense that could find a way to hurt this Dallas defense — despite their strong play for most of the first three weeks.

As for the Cowboys, they don’t have a good enough offense to take advantage of the defensive struggles of the Lions. Ezekiel Elliott will run hard, but they’ll use him as a last resort in the passing game — instead of as an actually viable option — and Dak Prescott will keep struggling to find a rhythm as they shuffle six receivers in and out all day.

Final Score: Detroit 26, Dallas 20
