2019 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys turn the page, Raiders find pass rushers

23. Minnesota Vikings: Michael Deiter, OT, Wisconsin
A Thursday Night Football loss sent the Minnesota Vikings to 1-2-1 on the young season. Surely they expected better than this after signing Kirk Cousins to a fully guaranteed $84 million deal over three seasons ahead of this year.
Being fair though, this slow start isn’t all on Cousins. Outside of their shocking defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, the offense has been solid. They’re putting up plenty of points and Adam Thielen is on an insane pace at wide receiver.
The problem is they tied with a good Green Bay team and lost close to one of the best in the game on Thursday, the Los Angeles Rams. Still, when you have someone like Cousins and the high-priced defense they do, you expect wins, not close.
To help get them there, they add Michael Deiter out of Wisconsin. Another of the many talented Badger linemen to make the NFL this season, Deiter has the versatility to play all over the line. And the Vikings have holes all over it.
The biggest knock on Cousins this season has been his lost fumbles when he has been hit. Deiter could help limit that as he keeps defenders at bay, something the line has not done so far in 2018.
