Philadelphia Eagles: 3 Bold predictions for Week 4 vs. Titans
By Jeremy Klump
Here are three bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles in their Week 4 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
After months of conversations and debates regarding Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and his return from a torn ACL that ended his 2017 MVP-like season, Wentz finally returned under center (in today’s NFL behind the center in shotgun) in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts.
In 2017, had Wentz not torn his ACL, he was easily going to walk away as the league MVP. He was dominant in every aspect of the game and fans were ready to give him the key to the city before the injury. However, his return wasn’t spectacular, depending on how you use that word. For the casual fan, Wentz did not look like the 2017 NFL MVP.
He had two turnovers and missed some easy throws, so yeah, it was not spectacular. On the other side, he returned from a torn ACL, led the Eagles on a dominant touchdown drive in his first drive back, and then went eight for eight on the final drive that scored the go-ahead touchdown to win the game. I would say that is pretty spectacular, especially considering all that was involved.
Luckily for fans it was only Week 3, and Wentz’s first game back from his injury. In Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans, Wentz will be back in action and looking to show fans he is even better than the guy who threw for 32 touchdown passes last season. The Titans head into the game 2-1, coming off of an impressive victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, so it will not be a walk in the park for the Eagles and Wentz.
The Eagles also have been dealing wit the injury bug for players not named Wentz, as they lost Rodney McLeod for the season, Mike Wallace for the season, and Jay Ajayi is playing with a small fracture in his back. Regardless, this is a game the Eagles should win, and that is not a bold prediction. However, here are three bold predictions for the Eagles Week 4 game against the Titans.
