The Dallas Cowboys won in an exciting game on a last-second kick. Here are three takeaways from the big win against the Detroit Lions in Week 4

The Dallas Cowboys moved to 2-2 on the season as they won a hard-fought game against the Detroit Lions. It seems like these two teams always play one another close and despite the Cowboys taking a 23-10 lead into the fourth quarter, it came down to the very last second.

Detroit receiver Golden Tate had two touchdowns on the day, with the second one putting the Lions up by a score of 24-23. Dallas answered with an impressive drive to win the game, which was needed after the way Tate showboated his way into the end zone each time he scored.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had just over two minutes to get them into scoring range and he did that with a beautiful deep pass into the hands of running back Ezekiel Elliott.

The 34-yard pass came just one play after Prescott nearly fumbled the game away. After being hit and fumbling the ball, Prescott somehow picked the ball up and was able to throw it away to save disaster. Elliott’s catch put them at the 25-yard line, well within range for Brett Maher.

From there, Dallas just lined it up for the game winner and forced the Lions to use their timeouts doing so. Here we will look at three things to take away from the big win, which keeps the Cowboys in play in the very tight NFC East.
